GLOBAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2020
Background
Global Excellence Award is part of MSGA’s initiative to recognise students’ leaders for their outstanding performance and achievements in their respective fields. The award ceremony aims to motivate and inspire individual achievers to excel towards global-excellence in their chosen fields of interest through public recognition as a students’ role models.
Objective
The Global Excellence Award was established to meet the following objectives:
● To honour the great achievements and outstanding performances of MSGA’s Member Councils and Malaysian students across the world.
● To recognise student role models within the Malaysian community globally.
● To allow Malaysian students to attain global recognition and build their personal brand for future prospects.
● To enable industries to identify exceptional talents through a prestigious platform.
List of Awards
Member Council of the Year (Prime)
Member Council of the Year (Prime) is open to any Member Council, with at least 10,000 active members, which has shown effective organisational management, outstanding achievements, and keeping an active presence in the students’ community.
Nation-Building Award
Nation-Building Award is open to any student leader (individual/organisation) who has demonstrated noteworthy effort in supporting national integration and promoting nation-building agenda in the community with tangible results.
Member Council of the Year (Aspiring)
Member Council of the Year (Aspiring) is open to any Member Council, with less than 10,000 active members, which has shown effective organisation management, outstanding achievements, and keeping an active presence in the community.
Digital Excellence Award
Digital Excellence Awards is open to any Malaysian students organisation within or outside of Malaysia which has been actively implementing digitalisation in their organisation.
Young Leader Award
Young Leader Award is open to any student leader who has shown exceptional leadership qualities, outstanding achievements, the positive impact made in their organisation, and commendable strategy planning, as well as organisational management.
Social Impact Award
Social Impact Award is open to any selfless student leader who has been volunteering his/her time, manpower, knowledge, and/or money for a specific cause that is impactful and has improved the wellbeing of the environment and/or community substantially.
